There are many other schools too, but before joining one, you must make sure that they are accredited to offer the course in your region.

Some of the things that you need to fulfill before gaining admission into most Law Schools include but aren’t limited to the following:

    • Complete a bachelor’s degree program

The American Bar Association recognizes a bachelor’s degree as the educational requirement for anyone to undertake legal studies. Moreover, there isn’t any restriction in terms of the field as you can still join Law School even from Engineering School. However, it would be best if you did something to give you an upper edge, such as Business Administration or Political Science.

    • Pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

You’ll only gain admission to any Law school if you pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). It is a prerequisite that has to be fulfilled even before hunting for a school. However, after passing this test, University entry exams will not be a must.

    • Get admission into a Law School

After passing the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), you can proceed to write applications to several Law schools around your region. Not everyone goes to their school of choice, but if you work extremely harder and pass highly, you’ll have the chance to choose where you want to go.

    • Earn yourself a Juris Doctor Degree

There are numerous areas of specialization in Law, but the nationally recognized practicing degree is the Juris Doctor (JD). It will take you about a full three-year study time to complete the Juris Doctor Degree. After obtaining this degree, you can decide to take on several specialized areas, which include personal injury law, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, or even Environmental Law.

    • Pass the bar examinations

Before taking bar examinations, some institutions may request you to undertake a mandatory clerkship at a local law firm to gain experience.
