The All India Bar Exam or AIBE is a highly coveted exam that is a mandatory qualifying test for practicing law in India. It is usually attempted after securing an LLB degree from a recognised Law school. In this respect, knowing the syllabus and exam pattern is important for all aspirants. This exam has no negative marking, and you will get 1 mark for every correct answer. 

This year’s application process window duration for AIBE has been extended, and the revised dates are available on the official online Bar Council of India (BCI) portal. According to this official notification, the last date to fill up the application form for this year’s AIBE is the 30th of April. The notification on the new exam date will be made available soon online. This year’s bar exam will not allow the aspirants to carry any form of textual readings, study matter or books into the exam hall. However, the aspirants will be allowed to carry Bare Acts sans any notes and commentary. 

There are various online study portals such as CollegeDekho, Collegedunia, Shiksha, Edufever, among others. These platforms provide different resources such as subject wise tests, practice tests and previous years’ question papers. AIBE is a certification exam; hence, the exam is quite holistic. The cut-offs vary around 40% percentile every year.
